Lady Lilac grew up in Louisiana. She knows the food, the music, the particular quality of light on a bayou at dusk, and the way a small town can hold a hundred years of history in a single courthouse square.
She's been meaning to go back and really see it — all of it — for years. Not just New Orleans. Not just the places on the tourist maps. All sixty-four parishes, including the ones most people have never heard of.
January 2027 is when she finally does it.
